So I made this post to get some things cleared up.

About the font, apparently some people have problem with it, and I have yet to find a solution. I’ll give an example of the problem here:

I did say that some long sentences will go out of the textbox, BUT by that I mean only about 1 or 2 letter(s) will go out. Not a whole word or any big part, since even if I couldn’t shorten the sentence, I still tried my best to keep the “off textbox” part to minimum.

This is how it should be:

Yup, only 1 or 2 letter(s) will go out. Like the r, d, e at the end of the sentence you see.

On the other hand, this is NOT how it’s supposed to be:

If you look carefully, you’ll see that there’s a big difference between the normal and broken one. The “broken” font will have a big gap between each letter, like a fixed-width font if I must say. The normal one doesn’t. It looks completely…normal.

I’m still trying to figure out what’s causing this. And also, I want to say that if you come across any problems with Japanese games, what you should try before asking is set your System Locale to Japanese (DO NOT be lazy and use Applocale since it could mess up the font badly), install the font and run the game in Windows compatibility mode, if anything goes wrong during playing, uninstall the game and try again, or delete your saves (choose to show hidden files and folders - google on how to do this, then go to C:\Users\ [your user name] \ AppData\Roaming\Rejet…)

You don’t have to do all of this at once, just try different methods each time, if that doesn’t help then of course just do all of them at once. Thank you for reading! In the next update I’ll put a more detailed instruction file, and of course the patch will be more polished as well. If you still encounter any errors after doing what I said, feel free to poke me for help! ^^

Okay, I know this post is SUPER old but I have a solution to add because I know people still download the patch and have this problem. So I’d like to simply help anyone looking around for a solution, since I looked through reblog comments on this post for help but none of them worked for me :T I was having this problem despite having my system locale set to Japanese, and I tried changing the display settings and messing around with fonts but nothing worked.

What worked for me was this:

When you install the game (with the patch and all), make sure you install the desktop icon. Right click it and go to properties. Under the Compatibility tab, there should be a check box that says “Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling behavior performed by:”

Make sure the box is checked and change “Application” to “System”

Click OK and start the game. Font was fixed.
